BTS episode 17

There are only two pixelated photos available of Rabbi Yisroel Meir Kagan. My job with this commissioned portrait was to convert these reference photos into a lifelike portrait that gave over the love and wisdom of the Chofetz Chaim.

I’m really happy with how the piece came out. The shadow shapes and value transitions are where I need them to be and I’m ready to pack and send off this portrait to its forever home.
