BTS episode 15

I just finished my most detailed ambitious drawing to date.

I started off with a really clear outline for the design which helped me stay in control of the myriad of details and value transitions.

I love the feeling this drawing gives off- it has the right mix of nostalgia and life. It reminds me of lag baomer in meron, of hachnasas Sefer Torahs, of simchas Torah dancing… it reminds me of the joy and traditions studded into Jewish life.
