We all have our happy places- the places we go to when we need to feel safe and at home. For me that place is Israel. If I can’t be there physically at least I have this painting to take me there in my imagination.
Walking down Rachov Yafo brings back memories of trips to the kotel, of picking up boba teas from Ben Yehuda, of tasting halva in the shook, of passing dancing Na Nachs in Tachana Hamarkazit. All these memories come flooding back when I look at this piece.
