I love the feeling this drawing gives off- it has the right mix of nostalgia and reality. It reminds me of lag baomer in meron, of hachnasas Sefer Torahs, of simchas Torah dancing… it reminds me of the joy and traditions studded into Jewish life.
The most flattering feedback I’ve gotten when showing off this piece was that the viewer could hear the Hassidic music being played in the background as the father and son walk together.
